Our Story

Over a hundred years ago, there was a great Sufi Saint Hazrat Sher-e-Rabbani in the village of Sharaqpur Sharif. One day, an old woman came to him and complained about the joblessness of her son. The Saint advised the boy to start making "little sweet balls" which later came to be known as Sharaqpuri Gulab Jamun. The boy acted upon the Saint’s advice and started selling Gulab Jamun. Nature blessed him with a secret recipe of taste. Over the period of decades, a number of his workers mastered the art of Gulab Jamun making and some opened their separate shops even. That is why, today, Sharaqpur Sharif is home to the world’s most famous Gulab Jamun.
